Information for Readers

    Hi Gang,

      In my past blog entries I have told you about many good books by many wonderful authors.  The reason why I chose to blog about books on CD is because it is a great format for children as well as adults.  If you’re at a loss for a gift for a loved one or a child that is sick in the hospital, I would recommend these books.  If a parent has an operation, instead of flowers, ask them who their favorite author is and then surprise them with their newest title on CD.  Recovery is sometimes hard and to get someone to sit still for a long period of time is hard; with a good book sometimes it becomes easier.  How about a nephew or niece that comes to visit; and it happens to be raining?  Instead of driving about and spending money set them up with the latest Harry Potter book. This site will bring to amazon.com.  You can input any author to get amazing deals. 

     Now it is time for me to tell you how to find these books. First place I would recommend is Recorded Books; this site is in a catalogue format that allows the reader to browse though different categories to find authors that they like.  The different categories include mysteries, romance, science fiction and humor just to name a few. 

     Another good place is Audio Editions; also in category form this is where some of the new titles are found also.  I receive this magazine in the mail and then I go to my local library and get them sent to me. Leominster Public Library is a good place to start.  I understand that the Fitchburg Public Library is no longer open; or is on a limited schedule.  Another good place is the Gardner Public Library.   

     Another format is a pre-loaded MP3.  This format included the entire book in a convenient mini MP3 Player.  All you need is the headphones.  Some of the libraries also have a link that allows for you to down load onto your MP3 player.  Any one of these formats would bring a new chapter to anyone’s life.
